Pie Chart Help

I feel like I am missing something obvious.

I have a table of Properties. One field (numeric dropdown) states how many Drinking Wells they have on the property. One field states how many Irrigation wells they have on the property.

I want a pie chart that compares the number of total drinking wells vs non drinking (irrigation wells).

If I had a wells table, and each well was labeled Drinking or irrigation this would be easy. But somehow I am just not seeing how to do this in my current format. A single record may contain a number of drinking wells AND a number of irrigation wells, and I can't figure out how that record is represented on both chunks of the pie chart.

  • Unfortunately, I believe you've already stated the answer. In that particular structure, you can't. A pie chart reports on a single numeric value, aggregated based on a single text value.

  • I think you can do this with a summary report, because you can Summary Variables and Summary Formulas.  But it's numbers and not graphical.
