    Hi,

Im starting to get really sick of updating a standard client excel report manually. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to use a button to have QB automatically import rows into a spreadsheet which feeds the back end of

    G.

Use the Juiced Tech XL Docs tool.

    https://www.juicedtech.com/xl-docs

I have clients using it and they love it.

Did you ever get an answer to this? I am unable to buy an addon to my company's QuickBase account. I would really like to know how I can do this without having to purchase something.

If you have no PHI into your data, you can use the web connections data output feature in Excel to pull reports down. the URL you use is the one for the report itself. Then anytime you run your excel table, itll make a web call and pull your data down.

    Tonya,
I have not done this myself, but here are some clues.  Please post back if you get it working.

The text below was form an old Forum posting

    Hi Robin,
I had the same issues as you: authentication, additional column data, etc.

    I got around this by:
1/ my URL included a usertoken, options set to tsv
2/ in Excel, I defined my data query as "From text" and pasted the URL, then reviewed the properties

    Here is an example:

    https://yoursite.quickbase.com/db/YOUR_DATABASE?act=API_GenResultsTable&usertoken=YOUR_USER_TOKEN&options=tsv&qid=YOUR_QUERY_ID

This pulls the data right into the designate area in the spreadsheet.  I pulled 500 rows without truncation.  Hope that helps.
