I have an existing Pipeline with 5 steps and I need to insert a new step 1.  Is it possible to insert a step at the beginning?

If that's not possible, I'll create a new Pipeline with the new step ,and have that call my existing Pipeline.  But the instructions on how to call another Pipeline aren't very clear (see the attached screen shot).  Does anyone know how the enter the Call Definition for called Pipelines?

I have not tried this, but I recall being told at a demo that to insert a step you create a new step at the bottom and then drag it up.

EDIT: I tried this and it seemed to work

    Mark,

Thanks for your reply.  I couldn't get this to work, but I might not be dragging the new step into just the right spot.  I'll keep at it.

In my testing I can move up something like 'Search Records', but the 'For Each' items that go along with that search record stay put.  Has anyone had any luck moving an entire grouping of tasks?

As far as I know, the drag/drop functionality of Pipelines is buggy at best when it comes to moving/inserting steps. I've actually never been able to move anything and have been advised to add the necessary step at the bottom, then use the Import function to move that step within the YAML code.

I wasn't able to edit using the visual editor, but I found that it is easier to edit the YAML code and import the code into a new pipeline, then delete or disable the old pipeline.  I'm not sure if Quickbase will rename the letters for the steps.  I manually changed the step letters.
