  • 1.  Default Value on Text-MultipleChoice-Lookup Field

    Hi there!

I use QuickBase to keep track of projects, (project title, project number, etc.).  I have a field called project status that has its own table and in the project entry table I created a relationship connecting them so that when entering a new project you could choose the project status from the list of options (active, complete, dead, etc.).

Since every time we open a new project, I would like the default value of the field to be "Active" however I cannot figure out how to do that under a text-multiple choice-lookup field.  I know there is a spot for a default value under a normal list.

Any help would be much appreciated!
    Thanks!

Have you tried using an automation to set the project status when a new record is created?

This will be done by a form rule.

When Status is equal to blank
Change Related Status  to .. Active

Be sure to uncheck the checkbox way down at the bottom of the form rule.
