  • 1.  Tables with fields that are visible under certain conditions

    Hello all,
    I've got a question.
I'm working on creating a Project Manager app. And I've got stuck with the following question:
    I have Projects table:

    I need to:
    1. Break down my all projects into 3 types.
    2. Each category will have its own additional fields, which can be seen only when they are relevant to project type.

I'm new to QB, so maybe anyone can give me a hint which tool / functionality to use.

    Thanks,

    No problem,
You will want to use Dynamic Form Rules.  You will see that place to click near the top of the firm setup screen.

Among other things Dynamic form Rules can show or hide fields, sections, or tabs.

Fir the common fields, keep them near the top of the form, shared by all types. For example, Project Name.

Where you have fields used by say two out of  of three Project Types, that will need to be in separate Rule, or else you will get the pink warning about conflicting rules. Be sure to get any pink warnings solved before concluding you are finished.
