Hi does anyone know if there is a way to have QB pull a random sample from a table of data?

Typically this is done by taking every nth record based on the Record ID# and that is done using the REM function.  can you give me a specific example of the sample that you want to pull.  It is like 10% of the records or do you need 200 random samples.

Do you need the samples restricted to a certain time period?

For a quick answer, if you wanted every 20th record, it would be where

    REM([Record ID#], 20) = 0.

    Hello,
What if I wanted a random sample of 76 drawn per week, and of course, items chosen previously would not be chosen again?  This is out of potentially thousands that may change from week to week.
    Thanks.
