  • 1.  Auto-populating data for a record in a form

    Posted 03-12-2021 08:54
I am needing to know the best way for information to auto-populate for a record. Example: I am selecting driver name and all of his information is tied under the driver table but I want the demographics of the driver to auto-populate once the driver name has been selected. Is this possible and how do I go about doing it?

    np,
Just make a relationship where One Driver has Many "records" and then add lookup fields to the right side of the relationship.

    Thank you. That worked.

Is there anyway that I can add a signature to the form? and how would I go about doing that?

Do you man to add a fixed image of a Signature?  Or to capture a Signature on a phone or tablet?

Signature capture is not currently offered as a native Quickbase feature. But I have many clients who use this third-party add on from Juiced Technologies.

It is pretty stupid simple. It captures a signature into a file attachments field as an "gif" format image.  Then if you just want to display it on a Quickbase form there is a formula for that.

Juiced also had their bread and butter Exact Forms Plus add on which can generate a PDF, for example if you needed to produce a license certificate.
