Report Question: Pass a Start and End Date in a form to filter the associated embedded reports

So lets say i developed a form for invoicing clients and i have already developed a report that shows all of their orders.

Lets say in that form, I can enter in a start date and end date for the invoice which upon saving, would refresh a report below the provided field values. Is that possible?

If your ultimate goal is to define a set of dates and then attach the orders to a Parent invoice, I can help you make a button to do that - ie to mass update those orders to populate the field [Related Invoice].   Then you can roll up your total invoice using summary fields.

Contact me via the information on my website.  I do this all the time for clients, but the process is a bit too complicated to explain on this forum.

does it involve the use of a code page, which then uses repeatOn and some api calls?

No my method involved making a formula URL button which either edits or adds a userid to a table of users where the Key field is the userid field, and recording the Record ID# of the invoice and the  Record ID# of the Customer.

Then formula URL button runs a saved table to table import and mass updates the orders for the customer to fill on the field for [Related Invoice] on any orders which have not yet been assigned to an invoice.

It would take an hour of consulting time to get this working with you on a GoToMeeting and then you could possibly use the same technique in other apps or other places in this app.
