  • 1.  Concatenate text fields to create an address

I have a spreadsheet that I plan to upload to QB that has text fields for:

    Address Street Info (Text Field)
    City (Text)
    State (Text Abbrev)
    Zip (Text)

If I create a text formula that concatenates these strings together, will QB recognize this as an address?

    Hi Ashely,

So long as the table you are importing into contains an Address field upon import you can target the individual sub fields that make up an address. So your Street info would go into the Quick Base Street Info sub field and the same would match up for City, State, and Zip. Quick Base creates one address field that is made up of a sub field for each. Where as it would not be able to recognize a concatenated string, it is better to import in each field to the correct address sub field.

Thank you so much. What you've described worked perfectly.
