Set a default view for calendar reports on the dashboard

One of our apps is used by our sales team to track their daily activities so we have a calendar report on our dashboard with the initial view set to day. But the problem is that right now it's showing the first day of the current month and ideally we'd like to say the current day instead.

Is there a way to set the initial view on a dashboard calendar report to default to the current day instead of just the first day of the current month?
