Changing field properties from numeric to text

Question

I've changed my field properties from numeric to text. However, the record values are still displaying improperly. Ex: Data value 12345 is an identifier that I imported as a numeric value and it is displaying as 12,345. I changed the field property to text so it would display as simply 12345 but that isn't happening. Help!

I suggest that you change it back to numeric and just set the display of the field in field properties to not show any commas.

I also suggest copying the field before you make that change, just as insurance. Once it�s working you delete that Copy field.
