View image in edit mode, different for each task / project

Is there a way to embed a separate image, which is view-able within edit & read modes?  

I'm creating an application to track system releases, and would like each task to include an embedded image of the report, spec changes (image) provided by the vendor for review for the respective task. Thank you!
