If([Field1] = 1, "Yes", [Field1] = 2, "Yes", [Field1] = 5, "Yes", [Field1] = 10, "Yes", "No") Re: Do I need to escape ampersand in a text formula field?Well that was an unexpected workaround solution, but it worked, thank you! I am still interested to know if there's a way to escape that character, but until then this has solve my immediate problem. Thank youRe: Using IF to test multiple conditionsIn a formula field you can put multiple conditions into your IF statement, eg: IF( [Field1] = "N/A", [Field2]/5, [Field1] = "Yes", [Field2]/3, [Field1] = "No", [Field2]/10, 0 ) Basically this says if the value of Field1 is "N/A" then divide Field2 by 5, otherwise if the value of Field1 is "Yes", then divide Field2 by 3, otherwise if the value of Field1 is "No" then divide Field2 by 10. If all the above are false then make the value 0. All of these different criteria can be changed to suit your requirements.Do I need to escape ampersand in a text formula field?I have an existing formula field which produces a number of text values based on different criteria. I am now creating a new formula field that looks at the first field to produce a reduced set of values. The problem I have encountered is that two of the values in the first formula field contain an ampersand - & - and my new formula field does not seem to see those values, and so is ignoring them when producing the output values. eg. This That This & That My formula If([ex field] = "This", "One", [ex field] = "That", "Two", [ex field] = "This & That", "Three") However my output gives me a "One" and a "Two" but for the values that should be "Three" it just shows as "<empty>" Do I need to somehow escape the ampersand to make it find them in my other field? I have tried different ways I could think of: If([ex field] = "This \& That", "Three") If([ex field] = "This && That", "Three") If([ex field] = "This & That", "Three") Is there something else I need to use to make my formula work? Unfortunately it is too late to go back to the other field to replace the & with an "and" Calculate date after 7 business daysOur customers pay us on a set date each month via autopay through our payment processor. Our payment processor sends the money to us 7 business days later. We have a column in Quick Base that records the set date using just the day of month eg. 1 if they pay on the 1st of every month, 10 if they pay on 10th of every month. What I want to produce now is two columns, one that tells me for the current month when to expect the deposit from the payment processor, and then one that tells me for thenext month. The problem is weekends and holidays. For example this month the 1st was a Saturday (not a business day) and then the Monday was a holiday (not a business day) so day 1 of the 7 was the 4th, so expected deposit date is the 12th. Is it possible to automatically show this expected date based on working days? Current month is the priority, but if another field can do next month as well then that's a bonus. Summarising 3 groups, adding difference between group 1 and 2 if 1 is larger, otherwise include only group 3This explanation may be a bit complicated... I have been asked to produce a pie chart out of Quickbase showing where we are spending our money, per month. All expenses are generalised down for this chart into two groups. Typically they are in 8 categories - 3 into group A, 5 into group B. Category 1 & 2 are expense and income. Theyshould cancel each other out, leaving just category 3 for group A. However when category 1 (the expense) is higher than the income in category 2, I need to include this expensedifference along with category 3. If the income is higher, than I must exclude both 1 & 2. I have some formula fields which I use to get my two groups, based on which category they are in, however this is where I am stuck. How do I determine, for each month, whether I need to include only category 3, or if not include only the total difference between 1 & 2? I have tried to mock-up an example showing what I mean... Currently I'm having to copy all my monthly data to Google Sheets and create my pie charts. I prefer to have these done in QB as any changes are automatically reflected in the chart. Is it possible to calculate my values this way? I don't mind if it's formulas or new tables, I would just prefer to find this info automatically in Quickbase. Thanks.Re: Putting Month name from date field onto Exact FormThat worked perfectly! Thank you! :) We couldn't work out how to do it in a field so had guessed it would need to be coded into the Exact form somehow, but that works really well.Putting Month name from date field onto Exact FormI have a date field in Quickbase that on my Exact Form I would like to display ONLY the name of the month from. So for example the date field "Due Date" has a value "5/1/2017", and on the Exact form I want it to say "May" How can I do this? Thanks, Mike.Re: Can't modify Comma Separated Value reportI have managed to work-around to a fix - I opened another report and went to Customize on that other report, then pasted in the qid into the URL which opened the Customize on my CSV report. I was able to change it back to default report type. I am still interested to find the "proper" way to fix this, as this was very odd and I don't think pasting the qid into the URL can be by design the only way to do it?
