I will submit via User Voice. Tony ------------------------------ TonyA1 TonyA1 ------------------------------ New Table format issueI have played around a little bit with the new Table format under beta. The filtering is fine for the most part, but it apparently you can't filter on items that are not shown as columns. This is a significant reduction in functionality. We have many reports that are designed to filter on fields that shown as groups. Quickbase needs to have a way to allow the user to dynamically filter on grouping fields that are not shown as columns.... and I think they should allow the user to filter on any field as is now the case. I assume other users would think this is important. I don't want to have to add columns just so I can filter on it. I have been waiting for the new table format for a while and now I am disappointed. How do we get this changed by QB before the final product is released? I submitted a case and was just told that's the plan. Tony ------------------------------ TonyA1 TonyA1 ------------------------------ Re: Pull data from multiple child records into one parent recordSo I think Mark's suggestion will work. I was hoping there might be a more efficient way, but likely not. Example for Everett. We interact with 7 different reps at Energy Supplier A. Rep 1 handles electricity in MA Rep 2 handles electricity in NY Rep 3 handles natural gas in MA Rep 4 handles electricity and natural gas in MA Rep 5 handles fuel oil in MA Without getting into some real confusing aspects of our process, I want to summarize on the supplier record the reps that handle various combinations of territory and commodity. So conceptually Marks approach works, although I need to think about the combinations to determine if it is practical. Thank you. Pull data from multiple child records into one parent record I have a parent table called Supplier and child table called Supplier Contacts. Each Supplier can have multiple Supplier Contacts. I would like to list multiple Supplier Contacts on the Supplier record (ideally based on some conditional criteria related to Supplier Contact fields). Is there a way to do this? I have pulled child record data into parent records before, but only info from one child. This would have one or more different child record data (maybe concatenated) displayed on the parent record. Thanks, Tony Re: Showing ""Current "" status on a recordMark...this works great! Thanks!! TonyShowing ""Current "" status on a recordI have a couple of tables and a linking table that I am working with and trying to utilize to pull data for a field back to one of the parent tables. "Accounts" (table) may have one or more "Supplier Contracts" (table) , but never more than one at a time. I have a linking table that allows me to show for each account what Supplier Contracts have been associated with that account over time and for each Supplier Contract if the status is current, future or expired. At the Account record I would like to show the current Supplier Contract so I can use it in other areas of the App. Seems simple, but I can't figure out how to do this. Tony A.Re: Is it possible to add an HTML table to a form?Blake...do you have any examples that you could share of the second approach...i.e., build it as a Text Formula field where you would have the Allow HTML checkbox selected......?Is it possible to add an HTML table to a form? Is it possible to add an HTML table to a form that references QB formula fields in the cells of the table? If yes, a simple example would be great. Thanks, Tony Re: Go To"" button in a formVinny, Per Mark's instructions above, I set up a new formula url field and chose to display it as a button (in field settings).I put itat top of form, but you can put it anywhere on the form that you may want to access it from. The formula looks like: "javascript:void(window.location.href='#xyz');"where xyz is what ever you want to call it. Also, per Mark's instructions above, you have to also create an anchor tag which defines where you jump to when you press the button you created. This anchor tag is a new field you have to create,a formula-text field with HTML enabled. The formula looks like:"<a name=xyz></a>" Tony
