The data in the text field often has lines breaks in order to make the content easier to read, some of them containing lists for example. I'd like to switch the field format to rich text primarily to allow users to make use of proper bullet points but I notice that when converting the fields, all of the existing line breaks are lost. Unfortunately there are far too many to manually fix after to conversion. Does anyone have an idea as to how the line breaks could be preserved? Example content stored in multi-line text field: From: MealPal [mailto:hello@mealpal.co.uk] Sent: 24 January 2018 11:16 To: Kipp Subject: New Restaurant Alert Same content after converting to rich-text field (loses the line breaks): From: MealPal [mailto:hello@mealpal.co.uk]Sent: 24 January 2018 11:16To: KippSubject: New Restaurant AlertRe: Timestamp FieldPlaced it within a tab - my understanding is that a tab behaves no differently to a section but I will test it with the field out of the tab just in case. Do you know whether that might make a difference? In the meantime I have set up a workaround using an Action to create a new timestamp record in another table each time the field is edited and then added a summary field to the original table which shows MAX date created from the timestamp table. A little more messy but with the added benefit of being able to eventually graph user engagement over time. During this exercise I have discovered the limit of 10 Actions per table since I originally began creating one Action per field that I wanted to track. There are 20 in total worth tracking, but thankfully only 4 are multi-select so I currently have 4 using Actions and the remainder of the fields are tracked using dynamic form rules. The reason for having one Action per field is because I need the Action to pass on the identity of the field that has been edited. Currently doing this using "write the value". Also, the user is likely to edit more than one field each time, each one requiring a new entry on the tracking table and I'm not aware of a single Action being able to create multiple records at once. Any ideas to the contrary would be really helpful! In summary I now have timestamps for all 20 fields (4 of them multi-select), thank you for your help.Re: Timestamp FieldUnfortunately it seems the dynamic form rules don't notice the change in the formula text field. I assume this is because it is changed via a formula rather than the user directly editing the referenced field. Any idea of a workaround for the workaround?Re: Timestamp FieldBrilliant idea thanks! I'm sure that will solve itRe: Timestamp FieldDo you know a way of implementing this using dynamic form rules for multi-select text fields? I notice that "has changed" doesn't appear as one of the choices when creating the dynamic rule. Working great for numeric and text fields though!Re: Multi select with thousands of recordsMy understanding was that multi-select fields are limited to having a maximum of 100 choices, is that no longer the case? (I ask with hope!)Re: How do you hide the UI elements (including the table bar) at the top of a form?Dan, thank you for the detailed response, I haven't ventured in to this level of customization before so I will need to do some reading up on using .js files and APIs in QB before attempting your solution. I will let you know how it goes!Re: How do you hide the UI elements (including the table bar) at the top of a form? Thanks for your help Chuck, will let you know if we decide to pursue it further.Re: How do you hide the UI elements (including the table bar) at the top of a form?I can't seem to get it to work using the ifv function but have noticed that previewing a page has the desired effect! In the case of editing/adding a record, the ifv function seems to hide the green "save & close" button at the bottom of the form, do you know of a way to prevent it from hiding the button?Re: How do you hide the UI elements (including the table bar) at the top of a form?Thank you Chuck, do you know of another one that has the same effect on the dashboard/home page? I'm hoping to display a dashboard without all of the default UI elements at the top.
