However I keep coming into the Community portal through my builder account, at least I think I am. After I post I will know for sure because I don't have an avatar on my builder account. I would rather have my post be on my work account as it goes to my regular email with replies that I see all the time and not another address that I just check occasionally. ------------------------------ Bob Thomas ------------------------------ Import Feedback datatable into Feedback App into Tickets TableOkay, this isn't too difficult for me to do if I were to copy and paste, I don't think. That said, our company has decided to have a Feedback App with a table called Tickets. The Tickets table has numerous fields that have been added since using Feedback tables in various Apps. There are about half a dozen Apps that we have added Feedback too. Now they are still on the different Apps, but all Apps have a new Feedback Submit Button, which will take the Feedback submitted and place it in a separate App called Feedback. The Feedback App table is called Tickets and it has many fields. Some of the added fields include Business Objective, Resource Assigned, several fields of Completed by. This is working well, but I need to move the old Feedback records from each of the other half a dozen or so Apps into the new Tickets Table in the Feedback Application. Fortunately all the fields, of which there are 12 (including the built in QB fields), so that only 4 to 7 fields are populated with data. There are matching fields on the new Tickets table which has many more fields. Of course the old Feedback records will not have data in the new fields added when they are imported. I really just want to add the old records into the new datatable. Then if there happens to be duplicate records, I can find them, and there should be few if any and merge. I have downloaded one Apps Feedback table data & also the Feedback App's Tickets table. Now I need to just add the records from the old table into the new table. I think it probably is easier with Excel but wonder if it is possible in Quick Base? I see that I can create a brand new table in a new App, but when I try to create a table in an App already with tables, I have found that I have to first upload it to a Service, and I use Google Drive because I have several Google accounts. ------------------------------ Bob Thomas ------------------------------ Re: Use New/Updated Flag in Report FilterHi, Okay, glad I checked the forum. I was toggling the show the green or yellow, new or modified records added and wondered why it doesn't work in Feb. 2022. So the option in 'My Preferences' is still there, but doesn't work. Is this toggle going to be removed? I will read the comments here how to do. This is a learning experience for me as I find it valuable to alert my users to certain new records or changes. ------------------------------ Bob Thomas ------------------------------ 'Call another pipeline from University Automation Courses Hi, I finished the lesson (not the exercise that follows) for the Catabay Project Management. I created the three pipelines. The first is supposed to trigger another pipeline 3 if a new employee is a manager, this worked & I created 8 courses for the new manager. The next test is to add a new employee that isn't a manager & it is supposed to just run pipeline 1 without triggering any other pipelines. This one Did Not Run! When I look at the logic, Step A asks if isManager is Yes, so it ran when I added a new manager. There is no ELSE type statement so I am thinking that the way the instructions read that is why my new employee who is not a manager did not run. Even though a step further down says for TYPE IS Employee is supposed to return the 5 courses that all new hires are supposed to automatically be registered to take? The third test for updated employee to manager ran as it was supposed to with the added 3 courses they need to take. ***********************************UPDATE************************************************** I found the problem. My step for Search 'Courses templates' was in the Then-Else branches. I now get the two apps' tables. So I should be good to go. I think there was some corrupt data somewhere. I just am not seeing my two apps that I created 15apr21 but rather seeing older apps created in March. I usually see the apps and/or tables I need to see, but it is showing my apps from a month ago, which aren't connected to the token, which I created today and only connected to the two apps I am working on today. Advanced Pipeline Exercise ~ Link & fetch in pipelines I am working on the 2nd pipeline in the 'Link and fetch in pipelines where Sam has added a new record and linked it to another app in the 1st pipeline. The 2nd pipeline I have followed the instructions to update linked records. I have the 'record updated' label set up with all the address fields. I then drag the 'Fetch a Linked Record tag and then add the 'Quick Base Record from step A'. When I click on the table to connect, I am not given the tables from the apps I am working on today. The token I created is only for the two apps I am using today on April 15. THE ONLY tables I can choose from are tables from apps I worked on in March 15 (ironically one month ago). My April 15 apps and their tables DO NOT show? I am taking a few minutes break from this, so I will return and try again.
