In my current project I am integrating Google's Reverse Geocoder, which takes a latitude and longitude and turns that into an address, but I need to be able to reference their API as a script src. I know what the URL is, but how do I append this script src to my code? ThanksJavaScript and Date field from tableI am writing some code in which a portion of my task is to retrieve the records from the current day. At first I used the milliseconds returned from the date fields, where I checked to see if the milliseconds given was in between the start of the day and the end of the day. No luck. Then I tried to using the milliseconds given, created a Date object from it, and created a string of the date from that Date object, which would look like 3272019. I then compare this date string to a string created from the current day. Both of these were attempts to retrieve records from the current day. Any help would be greatButton positioning problem above table with JavaScriptGenerally speaking, I have selected the table via JavaScript and positioned the button above the table with, $(table[dbidTable]).before(button blah blah) This is very convenient, but on some scripts I need my button to appear even when there is no table (because there are no records). Another question, is there a selector for the 'Add Record' button on a table and can I remove it?Problem with XmlHttpRequest Javascriptthis script logs 'null' for the xml object, I know I should use jQuery, but I would like to use an XHR object on this occasion, since I am working with another company's API as well and it would be really nice to know how to use XHR with quickbase function procVehicleXml(){ var xml; var request = new XMLHttpRequest(); request.open("POST", rprUrl, true); request.onreadystatechange = function(){ if (this.readyState === 4 && this.status === 200){ xml = this.responseXML; console.dirxml(xml); } }; var apiMethod = { apptoken: token, action: "API_DoQuery", clist: "35" }; request.send(JSON.stringify(apiMethod)); }Re: update contents of a table without refreshing pageCurrently my script refreshes the page, but that is just a lazy fix. I would love to know the concept behind updating the contents of a page without refreshing. I haven't looked more into this since I posted this last week, mostly because I don't know where to begin or how to really traverse/do useful investigation on the HTMLRe: Async concept question with API_DeleteRecordI am refactoring my code to accomodate async. I was using async/await to handle each API_DeleteRecord call, but I'm still not completely clear. You're saying turning async off will make this code snippet work, but does this imply quickbase doesn't handle several ajax requests made at *basically* the same time/ does quickbase handle all the requests as a queue? I know that ajax calls are event based, does one event get completely interrupted by another? Obviously my goal is to write optimized code because our list gets quite large and there are specifications for what gets deleted, I would preferably like to delete these records with asyncAsync concept question with API_DeleteRecordI have a concept question pertaining to API_DeleteRecord, although could be said for any API call. Let's say I have a really basic script for (var i = 0; i < 5; i++){ $.get(url, act: "API_DeleteRecord", rid: i ); } Would it even be necessary to use async/await for this to execute successfully? Does the server allow several ajax requests at once?update contents of a table without refreshing pageI am trying to figure out how to update the contents of a without refreshing the page. I have a script that fires off from a button click, but it would be really nice if the user did not have to refresh the page. If I know which records have been edited on the table, can I simply select each record(jQuery of course) and make changes to the innerHTML attribute? Would appreciate any generalized technique or exampleRe: Button to Fire IOL ScriptNo, it was not included in the report. That was definitely the problem. My teammate and I got it working. Thanks Dan!Re: Button to Fire IOL ScriptAre you referring to the Fields under Settings of the table? I have the iol set up there: [iol] & "myScript.js" & [/iol] All appropriate values unchecked. I have the IOL set up for many tables and haven't had this issue until this project, I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong.
