I have not done this with every table in a cross app. It should be possible to move the tables one at a time, and as each child table that is brought over, it should recognize the parent Key to the child reference field, and re-associate the relationship. But only one way to find out is to try it.Re: Is it possible to export entire app ?We do retain the App data on the servers for a 6 month period after the deletion or cancellation of an account, before we fully purge all app data. So hopefully they wake up before the six months are up ; )Re: Is it possible to export entire app ?The system won't allow for Cross-Realm App relationships. The apps would have to be all on the same Realm.Re: Is it possible to export entire app ?Unfortunately, there is no easy way to export an entire App. CSV files per table is the long way. The API GetSchema is the way I know to pull the App setup. The last option is using QB desktop to pull the full App data into MS Access. This will only work to pull the data into MS Access, it won't import back into Quick Base as a new App, but it will at least have the entire app setup in Access: (see steps) http://www.quickbase.com/developer/knowledge-base/how-would-i-automatically-download-quickbase-table...Re: Search records with blank user Search where [My user field] is equal to the user "other" and leave the box blank. The current tool seems to be about 10 years old and not maintained or updated to adapt to MS Project application changes. Also, the list of columns/fields available for data transfer using the tool does not capture all of the desired data fields (including some custom fields) in the tasks table. We have a team most comfortable with creating and managing their project schedules in MS Project, but then want to integrate the info back to QB to connect with the financial view for a wholistic project tracker. There are others who have adapted to QB for scheduling, but will need to "present" the info using MS Project functionality. So we need to go both ways if possible. Re: Am I better off having a customer followup table within each application ? Or 1 comment One thing to keep in mind when you use cross app relationships, is your users have to be users of all involved application to see or use the relationships. Do you have any more information about the nature of these apps and why you'd want them to be combined vs. separate? Matthew a month ago Answer Regarding performance issues, you'll only see these when you have a truly connected eco-system of apps, meaning with cross-app relationships. TTI's don't generate any relationships between the applications and would not typically cause any long-term performance issues. The only concern with TTI's and performance issues would be an import that has to create or modify a very large data-set. Was this answer helpful? Answer by: Blake Harrison - DataBlender , Data Mixologist QuickBase Solution Provider a month ago 1 comment Blake, I have a recollection that a TTI in fact does cause apps to be in the same eco system.I think that Eric Mohlman (a QuickBase staffer) said that.I am working on a problem now with QuickBase support to get an Application untangled from the eco system so I may learn by the end of it what makes an app part of the eco system.Right now I have an app with no data, no cross app relationships, no script pages and no TTI's and its still connected.I have escalated this with Support, but no answer yet. OrOriginal Post: Asked by gmac9193 a month ago Keeping the application in a silo or relating 1 followup table to all applications? I am guessing having a stand alone application will mean that it is in a cross - application relationship and everything I am reading is that performance may be impacted? Do the applications stay "Silo'd" if I have a table to table import set up from one application to the next. For example I do a bunch of prep work in an Input table and the certain records now are ready to be imported to various applications depending on their type. Does Quickbase look at all these applications as one because I have an import set up between them? There is no cross application relationship set up...just a table to table import. Thanks for any help.Re: Format date to DDMMYY with a text colour formula fieldAnswer You could always try setting up a var for each piece of the date similar to this: var text MM = Right(ToText(Month([date field])+100),2); This would grab the MM piece and you would do similar formulas for DD and YY and then just connect them like this: $DD & $MM & $YY Was this answer helpful? I found how to use ToFormattedText( [date field],"DDMMYYYY") and where to put it in my formula which was super simple. Sarah a month ago
