Thank you so much for your reply and insight. It's a bit above my technical skill level but I work with someone who I believe will be able to understand and help me with this. As always, so appreciate the QB community's responsiveness and guidance! Cheers, d2Sending a TEXT from an applicationEvent Management Attendee Check In (HelenBrosnan Oct. 2013) Provides the ability to send a TEXT from a QB Application provided the Carrier of the phone number is known. This works but I am hoping there are plans to make texting a standard QB feature and/or that someone knows a way to Text from within an application when the carrier is not known.Re: December 2017 Release Notes - New UI ComingBravo to QB on making TABS work on the Mobile version....Dec. 17th can't get here soon enough!!!Re: HELP! I need a way to default Detail records(of multiple tables within the same application) to a specific Master RecordI think I can work through what you have set forth...I'm learning fast how to be creative with QB...I have a long way to go to catch up to QB Masters/Champions, as yourself, but I'm "in it to win it"!!! Thanks so much...I love the generosity of time and knowledge afforded via this forum!Re: HELP! I need a way to default Detail records(of multiple tables within the same application) to a specific Master RecordI'll give this a try . My Volunteer group varies from one Event to another. I do assign each Volunteer a User login for the duration of the associate Event's work. Thank you for taking the time to offer up this method. I can't believe I'm the only one who has heartburn over this....have a great day and thank you again!Re: HELP! I need a way to default Detail records(of multiple tables within the same application) to a specific Master RecordI apologize if my explanation became muddled and you are correct, I don't want to create a Role per Event. Problem is two fold: 1.) When a Volunteer doesn't start in the Event(Master) but enters Detail Records then someone has to go back and try to figure out what Event(Master) the randomly added Activities, Attendee, etc.(Details) belong and make the corrections. 2.) Having to Select Event(Master) from the drop down, for hundreds of entries is annoying and I get nothing but complaints about it: every person wants to "SET" their Event(Master) and be able to work all day/week/month adding Details record into multiple tables without constantly having to Select the Event(Master) I've found several convoluted ways to relieve some of the agony but nothing concise. Would just love to be able to set a Event(Master) and know all the Details records will be assigned to the correct Event(Master). Does that help or further confuse? HELP! I need a way to default Detail records(of multiple tables within the same application) to a specific Master Record I manage a non-profit: lots of volunteers, lots of events, lots of activities, etc. Basically I need a way to default every detail record to a specific Master without having to ?select Master, select Master, select Master, etc.) ?We have multiple fund raising Events ? Each Event (Master Record) hasVolunteers (Detail Records) Each Volunteer (Detail Records) has multiple Activities (things to do) Each Attendees (Detail Records) may havemultiple Requests, to be acted upon. How can I limit/control volunteer access to only the Detail Records (multiple related detail tables) of a specific Master Record (Event)? * Volunteers should only have access to the Detail Records of the Master Record(Event) they are assigned for the duration of the Event. Copy Master Detail does not apply.Re: Go To"" button in a formThat is exactly the issue! I have an iPhone(iOS10-haven't upgraded to iOS11 yet). On the mobile app. the Jump lands exactly on the Anchor(target) but on the Desktop view, the Jump lands 5 rows off the Anchor(target). Additionally,as mentioned initially, if you use the newly implemented Tabs feature, which works beautifully on the desktop view, the Mobile app stops you dead in the water. The result of these problems leaves Users scrolling endlessly. Thank you for responding so quickly and yes, please do reach out to your contact! Cheers! d2Re: Go To"" button in a formThat's not the core problem...it's the incompatibility between Full Site and Mobile of the two options that is the problem. Is this worth opening a Support Ticket or just wait on the next release sort of thing?Re: Go To"" button in a formBoth of these solutions create problems between Full Site and Mobile views... 1.) As fore warned, TABS are not supported on the Mobile interface but WARNING: A TAB will stop the display in its tracks so they're not just "not supported" , using them prohibits Mobile access to that information all together. Would be better if the Tabs were just ignored in the Mobile view vs. putting the brakes on the display. 2.) The JUMP/ANCHOR solution (at least on a Windows 7 P/C Operating System) leaves me with a different problem. It does work, BUT theJUMP actually takes you 5 rows below where it is inserted (again this is Windows 7 displayed on a Vizio monitor) so you may have to adjust where you insert it on the form to actually land on target, BUT it works perfectly on the Mobile view so if you make the adjustment for the Full Site view, it throws off the Mobile view. Obviously I need to update to Windows 10 but has anyone encountered this problem or is this just my "rookie" status?
