I can successfully post to QuickBase on a single form, but I was curious how I could utilize API_EditRecord to post and update each part of the form, or to redirect to a new form after posting, and having the ability to capture the record ID. I know there's plugins like Zapier, but I've already avoided having to use them to post directly to QuickBase. My question is: when I post to QuickBase, what is the response from a php form post? In other words, is there a way to return the record ID, which I could $_GET or save in a session when I redirect to another location? For example: if you add a record via URL, it returns the XML response. Does this exist via webform post? Since my webform can a) either move on to the next question after the form posts, or redirect to a new location, I wasn't sure how to obtain a response from QuickBase with the record ID recorded, if that makes sense? ------------------------------ Quincy Adam ------------------------------ QuickBase Sync: You don't have permission to import data into a restricted field.I am using Quick Base Sync on one of my tables (Contracts) and it recently started displaying this error:The error was: You don't have permission to import data into a restricted field. It's a Quick Base Sync SFTP. The SFTP credentials appear to be okay when testing it.I checked the permissions of each individual field and of the table and there aren't any restrictions that I'm aware of. I have one role "Everyone on the Internet", that I thought might be an issue, but even that has full access to this table. The Quick Base Sync history provides a link to their common errors, but this one is not listed. I wasn't sure if anyone encountered this particular error and where else to look in the settings. ------------------------------ Quincy Adam ------------------------------ Capture Timestamped Values of Fields From QuickBase SyncI have bit of a brain teaser for my QuickBase Sync table called "Weekly Conversions". Weekly conversions is a raw export from one of our other systems to show the following fields: I want to create a report that captures the counts for "Randomized", "Screened", "Completed", "Failed" and "No-Show" from week-to-week. I tested updating the "Date From" and "Date To" columns to different dates that I input manually, however, it only updates the existing record, opposed to adding a new record (which may be intended how it's supposed to work). I could have the report show records by "Date Created" or "Date Modified", but I realize those methods won't work as well, since they won't let me track anything historically before today, and the values of the fields listed above change on a weekly basis, so it won't record a timestamped value from that respective week; between the Date From/To. Is there another suggested method to capture the values of those fields on a weekly basis? I may be approaching this wrong using QuickBase sync, but was hoping to eliminate manual entry since it's potentially hundreds of records that would need to be updated a week. ------------------------------ Quincy Adam ------------------------------ Re: Post Webhook ExternalThank you sir! You fixed it!Re: Post Webhook ExternalThanks AustinK. I plugged in application/soap+xml, but still get:415 Error: The server cannot service the request because the media type is unsupported.Post Webhook ExternalI'm trying to post a Webhook into a CTMS and it's out of scope for QuickBase to help with. The documentation doesn't provide any info on posting Webhooks externally. This is the instructions that our CTMS vendor provided: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"; xmlns:clin="URL"><soapenv:Header/> <soapenv:Body> <clin:SubmitSurvey> <clin:strSubmission> <submission> <firstname> </firstname> <lastname> </lastname> <gender></gender> <dob></dob> <address1></address1> <address2></address2> <city> </city> <state> </state> <zip></zip> <phone></phone>
<besttimetocall></besttimetocall> <howdidyouhearaboutus></howdidyouhearaboutus>
</submission> </clin:strSubmission> <clin:strSecret>PASSWORD</clin:strSecret> </clin:SubmitSurvey> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> The validator on our (CTMS Vendors)end does not like capitals, spaces or special characters. I plugged their info in like this and many other variations of this, but am failing: Can QuickBase send XML formatted submissions in a SOAP message externally?Re: Set Value Of One Field If Another 2 MatchI got the relationship setup -- thank you for walking me through that! How do I get through the next part: With that - you canthendo a lookup of that new field - essentially you're bring it up - to then bring it right back down as a lookup. With it - you can write a formula that says that if this field is greater than 1 - then I've already seen this person before, since I now have 2 or more leads associated with them. The count is currently in my "Emails" table, but I want it to be in my "Leads" table, so I can create a report for all leads that are 0. Re: Set Value Of One Field If Another 2 MatchHi Chayce, I think I understand the logic behind this, but I'm having some trouble putting it into practice. I created a table called "Emails" and set "Email" as the key. I tried doing a table-to-table relationship with "Leads" with "Email" as the parent table. I select "Email" as the reference field. The lookup fields don't display for me on the next screen. I'm just seeing QuickBase Date Modified, Record Owner, etc... fields. I'm not sure the association was made correctly. I'm likely missing a step, but am not able to work through the summary part to understand that yet. Thanks, QuincyRe: Set Value Of One Field If Another 2 MatchHi Chayce, I just realized that my report link will show a match regardless. So there are 2 issues I'm trying to solve for: Issue #1: I have a table for incoming leads called "Leads". I have another table that contains existing records from an external system we use. If the field "Email" in the Leads table matches "Email" of the other table, I wanted to create some type of flag. I thought report link would show this, but it appears the email address from the "Leads" table will display in the report link regardless if one exists in the other table. Any thoughts on solving for this? Issue #2: If the record already exists, I wanted to create a status column; something that would note that it's an existing record. Thoughts? Thanks!Set Value Of One Field If Another 2 MatchI'm trying to set a value in a field, if an email address matches an email address in a different field. For example, I have a field called Email and a report link called Merge: Existing Email. If the email address matches the value of Email, I wanted to set a status in a separate field called Existing Patient Record. I tried using a conditional like this, but it just returns 0 for all records. Any other ideas? If([Email]=[Merge: Existing Email], 1, 0)
