This code has worked in the past. However, this time it just creates a new record without copying the field data over. URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=GenCopyRecord&rid=" & [Record ID#] I think the fact the record id is not used as the key lookup field may have something to do with it. I tried changing [Record ID#] to {EA#] and rid to fid but it did not work. I get a record not found error message. Any suggestions to get me on the right track would help. Thanks. Make URL Link editable on Read Only FormI have set a custom rule for a role (Test Requestor) that makes the test request form unable to be edited once they click the checkbox "submit to test reviewer". The problem is that I have a URL link on the form that prints the shipping label for the test product. Once the form is submitted to reviewer the URL link button no longer gives the Test Requestor role access to view and print the product shipping label. How can I keep the form uneditable while allowing the Test Requestor role to go back and print the label using the URL link button?how do I force a number field to format as a ratio?I have a number field that I would like to format as a ratio when the user enters data (e.g. 5:1). Is there a way to do this in Quickbase?Re: Create Button to Add New Record but carryover certain fields from existing recordThe button functionality works perfectly now. Thanks!Create Button to Add New Record but carryover certain fields from existing recordI am creating a package testing application. Each package type can be tested on multiple types of equipment. For each equipment test I'd like to create a new record. I'd am trying to create a button that allows the user to save the current record and create a new test without having to retype the basic package information each time. I've found the following code which will save the current form and create a new record with the same info. I'd like to do the same thing only have certain fields with basic package info save to the new record automatically. So essentially, I am saving the package information but wiping the test results to enter a new test onto a new record. URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=GenCopyRecord&rid=" & ToText([Record ID#])Re: Grant View Permission by User vs RoleThat works! Thank you!Re: Grant View Permission by User vs RoleI think that would only change the permissions for the role and not just a specific user? What I'm trying to create is a permission that is not role specific but user specific. For example, only Holly (engineer role) and Dan (supplier) role can see records that are flagged restricted. All other users cannot see these records regardless of role.Grant View Permission by User vs RoleIs there a way to restrict permission to view/modify records that contain the field "restricted" for users in different roles? I have one user (engineer) and one user (supplier) that want to keep certain records confidential to themselves until the restricted indicator is removed. Is this possible?Add leading zeros to Form ID # to make even length I am using the following formula to add leading zeros to a request # field I created on a form. "Request"&Right("000" & ToText([Record ID#]),5) I would like to limit the number of characters to 11 and have the leading zero's be consumed as the record id # increases. For example: "Request00012" should be "Request0012" Is there a way I can modify the field or form to do this?
