Fix Legend Colour for Pie ChartI have a number of pie charts that displays the current status of our records, each chart shows a different subset of the records. There are 6 potential statuses, but not all of them are in use all of the time, and it can be quite fluid as to which ones are in use in the various subsets. I have set colours on the legend for these charts, but as some statuses appear and disappear from the charts these colours lose their settings, or the ordering changes because a status at the top of the list is not in use and the colours all change. Is there any way to fix the legend colours by a field name, rather than just an order? As an example, the report might contain records with the following status and legend colours: 1. "Failed" in red 2. "Passed" in green 3. "Pending" in blue If at some point we have no failed records, this changes to: 1. "Passed" in red 2. "Pending" in green We then have a new failed record appear and this changes to: 1. "Failed" in red 2. "Passed" in green 3. "Pending" in maroon red or other random colourRe: File Attachment field as Lookup FieldThank you very much, your bit of code has enabled me to do exactly what I needed to do without all the extra steps from using Many to Many relationships! The Formula Text field can be brought through as a lookup field into the child table.Re: File Attachment field as Lookup FieldYes, we could have multiple children pointing to the same parent. I had considered a many to many but that adds additional steps in the establishment of the relationship and there might as well be an extra step in finding the document I was thinking if there was some way to get the URL of a specific field I could pass that down as a lookup field and use that.File Attachment field as Lookup Field Does anyone have any suggestions for simple ways to either display or link to a File Attachment on a parent record within the child record? We have a parent table of procedures, which has a file attachment field of documentation. We have a child table of issues, where the resolution could be to select one of our common procedures to follow from a drop down list of all procedure records. I would like to do this so the file attachment can be accessed directly from the child record without increasing the number of clicks from linking to procedures then into the file attachment or making a many to many relationship between the table and having to have extra steps to set up the links in the first place. Is is possible to update child records when a parent record status changes? We're using Quickbase for keeping track of our code releases, when development on all components of a build is complete they go through a round of testing. If they all pass they're released to a clean testing environment for internal testing, assuming they all pass again they're released to a user acceptance testing environment and retested, assuming they all pass again, they're released to live. If they fail at any point, they go back to development and start the process from scratch. At the moment we have a master table, Builds, and a child table Components, the tables are connected with a one-many relationship. In the child Components table we have a "Testing Status" field. Once all Components have a Testing Status of Passed a formula field in Builds flags that the Build is ready to move to the next environment. In the parent Builds table we have an "Environment" field. What I would like is that when the Environment field is updated, all child records of that build will have their Testing Status reset to pending, but I can't figure out how to do this. Does anyone have any ideas?
