If I am grid editing I type this (4th column) and it shows up as this I know I can type the necessary
and/or
to get it to format, but I am building this table for folks who won't (or won't have the knowledge base) to do that. ------------------------------ Erik Pye Affirmant Health Partners -Learner -Includer -Developer -Positivity -Belief ------------------------------ Outlook PipelineHey Folks, I was playing around with the Outlook - Send Email, pipeline. Is there any way to have the "To:" addresses pull from a field? Trying to create an automation that will email a committee any time a calendar event is added. So it would pull from the email address of all current committee members. I can get it to trigger if I type in an email, but that doesn't really automate it if I have to ad the email addresses everytime. ------------------------------ Erik Pye Affirmant Health Partners -Learner -Includer -Developer -Positivity -Belief ------------------------------ Pulling record based on several conditions in different tablesThis one is keeping me up at night. I am trying to create an automation (or import, or really whatever works) based on several conditions that pertain to different tables. For starters, I attached a crude .pdf of the relationships (the Triangle is the "many" side). So I would like to add a new "attendance" for a contacts, only if the following are met: 1) The "membership" matched the meeting (i.e. - tech committee, Board of Managers) 2) The membership is marked as "active" or the membership start date is before the meeting date. I would like to automate this to run either 1 week before the meeting (as memberships change) or after we click the meeting as "live" Thinking there has to be a membership to meeting relationship inserted somewhere, but not sure if I am missing something else? ------------------------------ Erik Pye Affirmant Health Partners -Learner -Includer -Developer -Positivity -Belief ------------------------------ Re: Mail to: Multiple records, multiple fieldsApologies for the lack of info. Sittin on a Parent table (groups) with contacts embedded as the child (unfortunately can't share screenshots as info is private). The Child (contacts) have two email fields, one for the main contact, the other for contacts admin. When I filter the Groups table I would like to have one button to email all contacts (to:) and admins (Cc:). This button can live on a "Home page". Currently, I have report linked buttons to automatically download the spreadsheet containing the email addresses. We then copy and paste in our native email client (Outlook). Does that help? ------------------------------ Erik Pye Affirmant Health Partners -Learner -Includer -Developer -Positivity -Belief ------------------------------ Mail to: Multiple records, multiple fieldsLooking for a way to do a 1 click "email to" a list of contacts and their admins. I have the emails of both, with the ability to "email all" at the bottom of the table. I have a formula-url field programmed w/ email and Cc. I can't find a way to program 1 button (or other suggestion) to pull all folks in a filtered list and send it to the default email client. Currently, I have table reports for each "group," download the spreadsheet, copy and past email address to either "TO" or "Cc" as needed. Any suggestions? ------------------------------ Erik Pye Affirmant Health Partners -Learner -Includer -Developer -Positivity -Belief ------------------------------ Re: Customize Record IDMark - So super helpful as always! I didn't even think of the formula w/ automation! Follow-up question. Will this affect the ability of the calendars to sync changes? I.e. - If a change is made in "Calendar-A", will it sync to "Calendar-Combined" My thought is that the Key fields would have to match for that to happen. Or do i create an automation to change both key fields to "A-123"? Calendar-A will be where employees put in there PTO, OOO statuses, so if they change a vacation, I want them to be able to do it (not me). Calendar-B is controlled by the Board, so they don't get to change anything there, I will do it but still want it to sync. Does this make any sense? ------------------------------ Erik Pye ------------------------------ Customize Record IDHey All, Is there any way to customize the record ID field? I am combining two tables into a third and don't want the Record IDs to overwrite each other. I want to keep the record ID so I can run automations. This is for a calendar report, combining two different calendar tables into one. Set Up like this: Table A: Staff Calendar Table B: Committee Calendar (imported from another app). Table C: Combined Calendar. If someone adds a meeting in Staff Calendar it is automatically created in Combined Calendar. I want it to also update if someone adds or deletes something from Staff Calendar. ------------------------------ Erik Pye ------------------------------Drill Down dependencyIs it possible to program a different drilldown report for each slice of the pie chart? Ex. Pie chart shows percentage of Yes vs. No answers If the "No" piece is clicked, I just need the email addresses to show If the "Yes" piece is clicked, I would like more columns to show. ------------------------------ Erik Pye ------------------------------ Re: Autofill Lookup FieldSo I am not sure which fix actually made it work, but it is perfect now. Whatever you said definitely inspired me to get a fix. I think I was a little frustrated so just started clicking. Thanks again Austin. ------------------------------ Erik Pye ------------------------------
