I am also trying to create a button which will delete the parent and all child records.Re: URL BUtton using JS to delete record and child recordsI've put a ticket in for this but am awaiting a response. In the meantime, I need to show a proof of concept for the following challenge: Create a button in the employees table that allows for the user to delete that employee. This button should confirm with the user using a JS popup and then delete all child records (address change log) and delete the record and return to the table home page. Let me know if you have an efficient way of achieving this. Thanks!Re: URL BUtton using JS to delete record and child recordsThanks, Alex. I don't think this will work for what I am trying to do. Here is the challenge I am trying to find a solution for: Create a button in the employees table that allows for the user to delete that employee. This button should confirm with the user using a JS popup and then delete all child records (address change log) and delete the record and return to the table home page.Re: URL BUtton using JS to delete record and child recordsHi Gaurav, thanks for the response. I only have one child table directly related to the parent table. As a reference, here is what I am trying to achieve: Create a button in the employees table that allows for the user to delete that employee. This button should confirm with the user using a JS popup and then delete all child records (address change log) and delete the record and return to the table home page. Thanks, NirajRe: Delete a record without going into grid edit or going into the selected recordHow do we utilize this functionality?URL BUtton using JS to delete record and child recordsI am looking to create a URL Formula Button to put on a table homepage. I want to the button to be able to invoke a warning / confirmation to delete the record (and all its dependents) and when confirmed, the record and its child records should be deleted and then returns the user to the table hompage. I have an idea how to do this but only for a single record and not it's dependents. I appreciate any help!Re: I have multiple activities and multiple categories, i need a form that allows entry of this dataAhh thank you! This worked like a charm!Re: I have multiple activities and multiple categories, i need a form that allows entry of this dataI remember from my past QB knowledge that I have done this before, but its been awhile. So I create one table of the 10 activities, and one table of 10 categories, and both tables would be children to the parent intermediary table of activity categories? I don't have access to my previous apps to see how I constructed this so I'm still a bit lost. By doing the proposed method, the user would utilize the intermediary table and select an activity and select a category and then input the numerical value into that selection. This would seem to work.Re: I have multiple activities and multiple categories, i need a form that allows entry of this dataYes, its a data entry form, however, I am lost on how to construct it so that all activities and the categories they belong to (everything in the picture) can have a numerical value. Would I just create a table for every activity and every category and then relate them to one another?Re: I have multiple activities and multiple categories, i need a form that allows entry of this data@Alex. Thanks! I thought about it but I need something where users can enter data for the middle cells. The summary report would be the end deliverable once data is entered.
