ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Report filter questionI think you have a loop in your logic: If Flag = X, then "X + Y" but then you also have if flag is X or Y or Z... this is a conflict. BUT... in these instances you want to user CASE instead of IF https://login.quickbase.com/db/6ewwzuuj?a=dr&rid=136 CASE( "Y", Y, "X,Y", X + Y, "X,Z", X + Z, "X,Y,Z", X + Y + Z) etc... it is basically a "for each of these instances...do this" ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------ Re: Azure Active Directory Access TokenOk, I was reading that incorrectly then. ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------ Re: Azure Active Directory Access TokenTo get your "client secret," you have to register QuickBase as an app in AAD. While I haven't configured QB specifically, I've done a number of them in Azure...its always the same issue. You'll need to register the app, then grant permissions for the app in Azure. I could help you with that if you want. Just PM me. ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------ Re: Merge data from two tables on a form David, My initial thought was just to propose having the sub-reports of Expense A and Expense B shown in the "Job" form...say in separated tabs. In this way you wouldn't have to worry about the clunky pipeline issue. For totals, you could simply have a summary field for each sub-report of A and B, then create a formula field that totals those two summary fields. Right now, that's my best suggestion, but I'm not sure that solves your problem. ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------ Re: Email an Exact Form OutputWillis, do you mean a listing of the field values for the form after input or a "picture" of the form in the email? ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------ Re: Reminder Notification for Upcoming BirthdaysI actually have this very thing in an app I built for another entity: First, I built a report that displays "Birthdays (Next Month)", then I created a Quickbase Notification that sends the report to a specified user on the 15th day of each month. The report is built off of the Birthday field (Formula Date) and an "Age (Now)" field (formula-numeric). "Birthdate" field below is a standard Date field. Birthday Formula: AdjustYear([Birthdate], [Age (Now)]+1) Age Now Formula: //AGE and decimal months // replace the [DOB] field with your date of birth field var date DOB = [Birthdate]; var number Years = Year(Today())-Year($DOB) - If( Month(Today())<Month($DOB) or (Month(Today())=Month($DOB) and Day(Today())<Day($DOB)),1,0); var number MonthsDifference = Month(Today()) - Month($DOB) ; var number Months = If($MonthsDifference >= 0, $MonthsDifference, 12 + $MonthsDifference); Round($Years + $Months/12,0.1) Hope this helps. ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------ Re: Edit ButtonYou definitely should be able to do that. There are several members of this community who will be able to help with specific code. Essentially, you'll create a Formula URL button that opens an API_EditRecord link. Then you'll need to get it to redraw back to your original location. There is an app available in the Exchange called "Magic Buttons" that is amazingly useful for this type of development on your own. Also, the API Boot Camp application that is bundled with the API training sessions from Quickbase University. ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------ Re: Formula Help for Weighted Average FieldFor starters, I think you need to have a couple of additional fields, like a divisor-count field, that is tallied based on the number of non-blank summary count fields. (I really hope that makes sense). Then, the way I think I might do this is write variables in the formula to "hold" values that are not blank, then do the math based on the variables that are valid and using your divisor field. Hope this helps. ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------ Re: Formula to pull Last name from a full name field accounting for jr, sr, II, etc.So an interesting question is "what is the nature of input" of the Full Name field? Is that a user-input field? If so, (and if it is possible in your scenario), it might be easier to normalize the data through a different user-input strategy (e.g. different fields for each name component). Seems the parsing of the last name could be extremely problematic given you could have several different styles of ethnic naming. Sorry if I'm not providing an acceptable solution...just some thoughts. ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------ Re: Copy to clipboard issueSimilar issue as Joe. With building of new apps without the ability to use js, how do you utilize the clipboard write function? or can you at this point? ------------------------------ Ryan Buschmeyer ------------------------------
