Maybe there are more parameters to the ToFormattedText function we don't know about. Probably not the most efficient, and there's got to be a better way. Not sure how it will work under various regional settings, but.... var number v = Case(Trim([Client - Address: Country2]), "United Kingdom", [CC Proposed - GBP], "United States", [CC Proposed - USD], "France", [CC Proposed - EUR], [CC Proposed - GBP]); var text currencysymbol = Case(Trim([Client - Address: Country2]), "United Kingdom", " ", "United States", "$ ", "France", " ", " "); var text posnegsign = If($v < 0,"-",""); var text inttext = ToText(Abs(Int($v))); var text fractext = ToText(Abs(Round(Frac($v),0.01))); var number fractextlength = Length(ToText(Abs(Round(Frac($v),0.01)))); $currencysymbol & $posnegsign & $inttext & Case($fractextlength, 1, ".00", 3, Mid($fractext,2,2) & "0", 4, Mid($fractext,2,3))Re: Is there a formula for counting the number of fields entered in a multi-line text box?Or if you have a practical limit on the number of reports they enter, you could try something like this which works for up to 10 lines (and could be expanded to more): var Number linei = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports], 1,"\n"))<>""); var Number lineii = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports], 2,"\n"))<>""); var Number lineiii = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports], 3,"\n"))<>""); var Number lineiv = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports], 4,"\n"))<>""); var Number linev = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports], 5,"\n"))<>""); var Number linevi = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports], 6,"\n"))<>""); var Number linevii = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports], 7,"\n"))<>""); var Number lineviii = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports], 8,"\n"))<>""); var Number lineix = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports], 9,"\n"))<>""); var Number linex = ToNumber(Trim(Part([Reports],10,"\n"))<>""); $linei + $lineii + $lineiii + $lineiv + $linev + $linevi + $linevii + $lineviii + $lineix + $linex API Tool In ExcelHere's an Excel based API tool I created that allows you to test various Quickbase API's. It was developed as groundwork for a far more ambitious Quickbase/Excel project I?m working on. So if you need something to create, test, or just play with API?s against your Quickbase apps, this may meet your needs. Enjoy! In fact, it can't even be done within the normal Quickbase UI. If you have your form set to automatically add new fields, they always appear at the bottom.
