ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Color coding a field rather than the entire record in a report.I have done this by creating a rich text formula field. I created a new field "Billable..." I have the field "Billable". This has a value of Yes or No. If yes I want the color to be green, if no red. This is the formula I am using Case([Billable], "Yes", "<div style=\"color:white; background-color:#27AE60;\"> Yes</div>", "No","<div style=\"background-color:#FF6666;\">No</div>", "Medium", "<div style=\"background-color:#FF9999;\"> Medium</div>", "Low","<div style=\"background-color:#FFCCCC;\"> Low</div>", "") ------------------------------ Ed A Mathias VP of OPS Athena Technology Solutions Fremont CA ------------------------------ Re: Versioning Rich Text FieldI would try an experiment. Create two History fields, have an update on open and one update on save. I'll try this when I get some time. ------------------------------ Ed A Mathias VP of OPS Athena Technology Solutions Fremont CA ------------------------------ Re: Versioning Rich Text FieldI did not think about doing it on open. I should try that. ------------------------------ Ed A Mathias VP of OPS Athena Technology Solutions Fremont CA ------------------------------ Re: Versioning Rich Text FieldNot sure if this will work for you but one trick I do is create a new log edits text field (e.g. Description History) and add a rule to copy "Description" to "Description History" every time the record is saved. I makeDescription History non-edit. This provided you a log of what was in Description every time the record was saved. ------------------------------ Ed A Mathias VP of OPS Athena Technology Solutions Fremont CA ------------------------------ Re: Software Source ControlYep, you got it. We use QB to manage all work across the entire company. We are system integrators and every project typically has a need to manage source code we develop. for me, two primary objectives. 1. Have a solid solution to manage source code. 2. From the project/task have a method to understand all the source code changes. ------------------------------ Ed A Mathias ------------------------------ Re: Software Source ControlThanks Don. I am not looking to control Quickbase development but more along the lines of traditional source code for development in traditional programming languages. Ideally, from a task in my application, I have a way to check-in/out source code and have one primary repository for all source code for the company. I think I'm going to need to look at something like Bit Bucket and see how I could connect Quickbase to Bit Bucket. ------------------------------ Ed A Mathias ------------------------------ Software Source ControlIs anyone out there managing software source code using Quickbase? If not, has anyone connected Quickbase to other products out there like Bit Bucket? ------------------------------ Ed Mathias ------------------------------
