I created Min Rec ID and Max Rec ID summary fields. But I'm not sure how you were able to then able to create (Min Rec ID Shipped Revenue, Max Rec ID Shipped Revenue, etc). Could you send me a screenshot of the field properties for one of those? ------------------------------ Ashley Asante ------------------------------ Getting Data from the Max ID Record in a Child TableI'm working on a Parent table of Projections. Each Record represents a month 1-12. The fields in the record are Date, Warehouse Revenue, and Shipped Revenue. When projections are changed throughout the month, a record is created in a Snapshot table, to see changes overtime. (Using Automations to Copy the Warehouse Revenue and Shipped Revenue. I used summary fields and report links to show the First Reported Forecast (using a report link to the minimum record ID) and Latest Reported Forecast (using a report link to the maximum record ID) on the parent table, but is there a way to actually get the Warehouse Revenue and Shipped Revenue from the First Reported Forecast and the Latest Reported Forecast? Using the report links on the table only show me the record IDs, and not the actual values. Thanks for any help you can provide. ------------------------------ Ashley Asante ------------------------------ Help with Copying a record to a new table upon changesMy application has a Projections table. Each record corresponds to a project's projections. This form has a hundred fields, and each time a forecast changes, a user must go in and edit the record for the applicable month, value of the change, and note why change occurred. As you can imagine changes happen all of the time, and right now I don't have a way of looking at how a field changes over time. For example - On 8/1 the user entered $100 in Sales for October. - On 8/10 the user entered $5000 in Sales for October. - On 8/25 the user entered $3500 in Sales for October. What would be the best way to look at how this field changes over time? Keep in mind there are 242 records in this table, and over 200 fields in the form. I've tried to create a table to table import --- but there's no way to force the change only when date modifed = now. I've made an automation to add a record to a snapshot table, but I would hate to map all 200 fields from my old table to the snapshot table. ------------------------------ Ashley Asante ------------------------------ Re: URL for a Parent RecordWorked perfectly!! Thank YouURL for a Parent RecordI have a parent table Called Requests. And a child table called Tasks. When a new request is created, a task is automatically created for a user designated in the Requests table. The task looks up to the Request and pulls down 1)project, 2) customer, 3) RECID of the parent record. I'd like to include the URL of the related request, on the task form, so that the person assigned can go directly to that request. (right now I'm doing that through a lookup field to record ID in the parent record). I'd also like to use that URL in the notification email in the task table. (so that user can go directly from notification email in task table to the parent record in the request table). How do I create a URL for a given record? Not all fields available in AutomationsApproval Button HelpHere's my scenario: I have an approvals table, where for audit purposes items need to be submitted, approved or denied. For audit compliance, we are using a field called Status, and we are logging the edits of that field, so that when items are submitted, approved & denied, we have timestamp for who took action and when. I have a formula text field (Current Status) that fires whenever a field is modified, to copy the Status field to a "Current Status" field. That removes the timestamp info, and drives all of my notifications -- Email for when Items are Submitted (Current Status = Submitted) -- Email for when Items are Approved (Current Status = Approved) -- Email for when Items are Denied (Current Status = Denied) Someone really wants to implement the Approval button. So that they can directly approve from email notifications. But when my Approval API button is clicked, it does not change the "Current Status" field --- since that only works when the form is modified. Is there a way to still fire the form rule, using API? Or is there a way to remove the logged info from my Status field, so that I can still drive other notifications (minus the logged edit info)? Re: Deleting tables of Data through Automation?I'm sorry, I thought i had typed that in. I'm need to find a way to delete multiple tables of data easily. I bring new data in from a different platform daily, and I have to go table by table deleting data. Automations do not work as, there are over 1000 records.Deleting tables of Data through Automation?Create Copies of Records through AutomationI have a Task Table (Task Name, Owner, Start Date, Duration, etc). Some tasks are tasks that are recurring (they happen each week for the next month, or two months, or etc). Wondering if there's a way through automation to to be able to create "x" number of copies of a record, based on perhaps a field changing in a record. For example, in my task table, if I check "Duplicate Record", And insert a number in a field... that would copy my record those many times.
