If both questions answered, it is already covered by the above when both options are selected in the report. Does this make sense?Help with an IF statement when using two fieldsI have two different fields that I would prefer to combine into one so I can use it as a default filter more easily. I am struggling to get it to work and could use some advise. Here is the basic formula in each field: Question A Status= If(([Question A])<>"","Question A Only", "Question A Not Answered") Question B Status= If(([Question B])<>"","Question B Only", "Question B Not Answered") Is it possible to combine these into one formula (I've tried but it is not working for me)? If Question A or B are blank I really do not need a value -- I would rather it not auto-fill "blank", but I can't seem to get it to ignore it. Any help is appreciated. Should I be using Case instead of IF statement? Thanks in advance!Re: Need help with a formula field -- Trying to populate a new field based upon whether or not the original fields are blank or not. Thanks for your help. This is not quite working the way I had intended. When I tried the above it is grouping in the filter as: Question 1 Taken Question 1 Taken Question 2 Taken Blank What I really want is just: Question 1 Taken Question 2 Taken If there are blanks they should be excluded. When I refer to the filters they are the dynamic ones on the report, not within the report criteria. I don't want it to be grouped into a new filter option if the user answers both questions. The use case is tricky and perhaps it would be easier for me to send a screen shot and full use case? Unless the above makes sense and is something simple I am missing. Thanks again.Need help with a formula field -- Trying to populate a new field based upon whether or not the original fields are blank or not.I am trying to create a new field that can be used as a filter for a report. The issue is this -- I need to create a field that enters a value based on Question 1, Question 2, or Question 3 being answered or not. For example, I want to be able to filter results if only question 1 was answered. The same for Question 2 or 3 independently. I thought I would need a formula that says: If (Question 1) is not " ", then "Q1 taken", etc... but cannot seem to get it right. Any help appreciated.Re: limit numeric digit count when exporting data to excelHi again -- Was out last week but still working this issue. Could you send me your contact info so I can touch base to try to work through this one? Thank so much!Re: Help with elapsed time formulaHi -- thanks for the help. Here is the formula example: If( [Date Created]-[CA Date] < Days(30), "1 Month", [Date Created]-[CA Date] >= Days(180), "6 Month") The issue I am getting a syntax error because [Date Created] is a date/time field type and [CA Date] is a date type. Is there an easy way to change this without changing the field type?Re: Help with elapsed time formulaSorry for the confusing explanation! I am looking to create a field that will determine time elapsed based on two fields. The difference between the [date created] minus the [call_date] field. So really, it should look something like: [Date Created]-[Call_Date] but I am challenged with how to add to the formula to take it one step further to decipher between under 30 days and over 180 days for use in our report.Help with elapsed time formulaI am looking for help with a formula field I need to create. The goal is to decipher between a record that contains a call_date that was less than one month in the past and a call_date that is more than 6 months in the past. The field will be used as a filter in a summary report. I am not sure if this can be achieved as one field for duration since the call_date field or if it would be better to create two checkbox fields that can be filtered individually.
