We use a supply point system one that is going away. It would be hopefully unlocked by qb? Any solutions for managing tool inventory?I am exploring replacing our ToolBoss system. I would need a way for quickbase to unlock a electronic cabinet when someone checks out tools. i can handle the transactions no problem but not sure about the locking. Any ideas? Re: Popup record picker workaround!:)Re: Popup record picker workaround! And for Grid Edit also? Popup record picker workaround!I found a way to work around the popup record picker window. We find our desited record by typing so the popup was annoying, just showed up one day. the workaround: create a multi select field and use your common proxy field as the source. make your related record field be a formula field that uses the value from the multi select field. the caveat is the field also needs to be the keyfield for the relationship to happen, making it that way was actually pretty nice for our setup cheersRe: Does anyone know of a resource allocation/scheduler tool native to Quickbase?Gillion $ question! I'm so following... Re: How do I add records from an Excel file?I did the google drive method. It works ok. I don't like how i can only add data to the table that way and not manually in quick base. Maybe an automation or web hook to add the new records to a different table that i can add too also? Re: How do I add records from an Excel file?I combined some fields to be a unique key, should work. I got stuff! Ok I think i am curious enough for the Hi tech way!? Re: How do I add records from an Excel file?I hit a snag, i have nothing good for refresh key... It is required. the fields i am importing are: tool #, D #, Related tool, length, related setup. none of these are going to be unique ever. Re: How do I add records from an Excel file?I am pretty savvy on this method, I just do this task like 20 times a day sometimes. And i want to have a work flow that i can easily share with other CNC programmers. What is the mid tech way? Thanks!
