I am wondering if it is possible to automate who has access to specific folders within OneDrive based on their Quickbase credentials? In other words, can I prevent John Doe from accessing a OneDrive folder, but still allow Jane Doe instead, simply based on their QB logins? ------------------------------ Bret Bernhoft ------------------------------ Re: How do I specify which record(s) in a table I'm interested in updating with the RESTful JSON API?Barb, When we submit data to QB that needs to be updated, the first thing we do is identify the table where the records exist. Then we organize the data using JavaScript, which is an array of objects that always consist of at least two Field IDs, the data and each record's key. I can't speak with much authority on SQL servers and QB, but the program we built uses a drag and drop interface for updating record data. I've found the QuickBase customer support to be exceptionally helpful in figuring out solutions to problems such as these. Have you considered opening a support ticket and asking these questions to QB directly? Please let me know if there is any more information I can share concerning my experiences with updating records in QuickBase. I did figure out how to update individual records within QB via the RESTful JSON API, by using the associated "record key". I believe the default record key is Record ID #3 for most tables. I am happy to answer any questions you might have about how I accomplished this. Best regards, Bret Bernhoft ------------------------------ Bret Bernhoft ------------------------------ How do I specify which record(s) in a table I'm interested in updating with the RESTful JSON API?We are building an external application that pulls and pushes data to our QuickBase tables. We've been able to pull data from QuickBase without a problem, but are having trouble with pushing/posting data to specific records. When using the RESTful JSON API, how can we specify which records we'd like to update with each given API call? Is there a documentation page that I can refer to that would tell me this answer? I've already looked at this page - Quickbase API Portal - but am having trouble seeing how this is accomplished. We're using JavaScript for these pulls and posts, and will be able to figure out our own custom code. What we need help with is knowing how to identify which records are of interest for each call. Any help you can provide is appreciated. Thank you. ------------------------------ Bret Bernhoft ------------------------------ Printing formatted data from an external dashboard (via JavaScript) using a template URL structureHello, I am curious about whether it is possible to first access and then print record/table data from an external dashboard by using a template URL? In other words, is it possible to use the structure of a template URL to physically print record/table data using JavaScript found in an external dashboard? I am uncertain what details are appropriate to share within this post, so I'm happy to answer questions that anyone has. Thank you for your time and assistance. ------------------------------ Bret Bernhoft ------------------------------
