In a related question then, would you recommend that the app. with 'everyone on the internet' users be the child or parent one. The cross app. table relationship isn't really a one to many or many to one relationship. I just want to be able to map fields across apps.Any concerns adding user role ""everyone on the internet"" in an existing application?I have two applications. One is to track the status of students from waitlisted all the way through enrollment (as well as family contact information, student age etc.). The other application is basically an online Registration form that parents complete to have their child added to the waitlist. The users in the online registration form are "everyone on the internet". Of course, I'd really like to map fields from the online registration form into fields in the student status application. I kept both apps. separate as I was concerned about security of the data in the first app if I have a user role "everyone on the internet", even if I set permissions correctly. Am I being overly concerned? I'd love to just include the online registration table in my original application. I've thought about creating a relationship between different apps, but creating a table relationship within one application is just more straight forward for me. ThanksGetting started question on formula fieldsI'm a beginner. I want to create a formula field that will take the selected text from a multiple choice field and convert it into $. This is for a student enrollment app where parents can select 5 full day, 3 full day, etc. enrollment options. Each option has its own fee. I have created a formula field:If([Enrollment Type]="5 Full Day",360). Clearly it doesn't work. I want the result to be $360 if 5 Full Day is the enrollment type (that's the field name) selected.Re: Color coding calendar report for a checkbox fieldI took out the "future" event color coding and so just future events show blue if they require food (or else they are grey). That works. Thank you.Re: Color coding calendar report for a checkbox fieldThanks. It would work, except I realise I'm asking it to conflicting things i.e. any event is going to be (past, today, or future) AND might have food. So it can't handle two conditions on one event correct? Color coding calendar report for a checkbox fieldI have a calendar report that uses the following formula: Case(true,[Date of Event]=Today(), "#2f9d66", [Date of Event]<=Today(),"pink", [Date of Event]>=Today(),"#ffffb3",) This works well. I want to add another line that will color code a checkbox field when it is check i.e. if "catering required" checkbox is checked, the event will be a different color. Having trouble making this work. I've tried ....[Food required?]="Yes" () "blue") for example. Do checkbox fields not work with the "Case" statement?Re: notifications to anonymous record ownerIt worked! Thank you.Re: notifications to anonymous record ownerYes they do. We have a field "Parent email address". I'll try that. Thank you. My notifications on this app (we use it so that international parents can upload confidential documents for student visas instead of emailing said documents) are a little out of control at the moment. We'll be launching this new app. in a couple of weeks. Works well - just this last step of parent "confirmation receipt" to sort out.Re: notifications to anonymous record ownerI am also trying to the same thing as the original poster. I have created a notification (that confirms we have received their uploaded documents) and type=open. This is an app that has role Parent as "anyone on the internet". The notification setup is asking for a list of emails. I want it to pick the email address of the individual 'anon' user who has just submitted their documents and send them the "receipt confirmation" notification. It's not working for me....notifications to anonymous record ownerI have a form for employee enrollment and have set role to "access to everyone on the internet" so employees don't have to sign in to complete the enrollment. I want to send them a confirmation (notification) that summarizes their choices. How can I use the employee email field to send the individual notification email when their record owner name is 'anonymous'?
