2 forms on 1 table – redirect user to specific form upon clicking save

I currently have 1 checklist survey table, that has 2 survey forms on it. They are on the same table because both surveys have many of the same questions and it is easier to maintain. Survey 1 is on one form and Survey 2 is on another form on the same table. To view or edit the survey on the correct form, I have form rules setup upon saving, it will select which survey it is. The issue is after the user hits save, it will open the survey into the default form. Since there isn't a way to re-direct the user to a specific form on clicking save, is there a better way to do this?

Can you tell me where the user is launching the ADD Survey button from?  Also after they save the survey, I take it that you want to land them back in view mode on the Survey?  An alternative is to land them on a thank you for your survey page.  But let me know where they are launching from and where you want to land them after saving.

They can launch the survey from 2 places. I put a button on their dashboard to launch the survey, and they have the option to select "new survey" when they are on the table. When they click "new survey" from the table I created a 3rd form that pulls up only 2 buttons - that will direct them to the correct form.

The buttons on the dashboard have an option that says "After saving the new record" then "return to this page". This doesn't seem to take you back to the dashboard after you save the survey record though.

I am about to head out for a backcountry canoe trip where there is no Internet. So I will have to answer next week unless someone beats me to it.

But I have a tiny bit of time right now so I will try to answer quickly.

Actually in thinking about this I'm not sure I have a solution to land the user on the record in View Mode on the correct form.

You may be better off setting the view form to be a blank form with the words

Thank you for your Survey.
