Add Color to Calendar

When I add a duration to the calendar, the view looks as expected. A blue line that spans the appropriate days. When I include my color formula as part of the view, it shows as its own line below the others. I have tried to remove all but the color view and it still wants to add the extra lines. Is there anyway to prevent this? I have also tried to limit the characters. See attached image.

Here is the formula I am using for testing.

If(IsNull([LM: Job Type (1)])," ",

[LM: Job Type (1)]="Time Off","<div style='background-color:#ff9999;'>TO</div>")

I actually read some of those same posts.  I have learned that they don't really have a fix for this right now.  I have adjusted a few things on my end...and have it working for now...but I had to give up on the colored duration.  Hopefully this will be addressed in some sort of fix later on.  It appears that several people have had the same issue.

Hi Joshua,

Unfortunately you are correct. While you can easily colorize a calendar report that has only a "start" date and not an "end" date, the colorization when a duration is involved does not currently work well. As you've seen, only the start and end dates obey the colorization you set, while the entire "span" still shows the standard blue/grey bar. We are aware of the issue, and are always open to enhancement requests via User Voice, as well.
