Here's an Excel based API tool I created that allows you to test various Quickbase API's. It was developed as groundwork for a far more ambitious Quickbase/Excel project I?m working on. So if you need something to create, test, or just play with API?s against your Quickbase apps, this may meet your needs. Enjoy!

    Awesome!
This helps me from having to manually build and run all of my calls from a dev console or browser.
    Thanks for sharing!

Is there a way to get the password to unlock the VB script. I think this is cool but I wanted to parse out functions based on roles (I.E. remove some code as needed)

Gaurav,  I also use Office 2013 (15.0).  Below lists the VBA references used, which are very common.  Make sure they are available on your device.

Thanks Ken. I have macros enabled.  Yet I am getting VB error  Runt-ime error '91': Object variable or With block variable not set.  This error occurs after adding my domain and password and trying to authenticate.  Could you kindly help?

Hi Ken, Thanks for the excellent tool.  Just wonder how to use existing Workbook option. This is badly needed as Filemaker cannot read XLSM files, and process needs to be automated to convert XLSM to XLSX or use existing Workbook option (If you can open Macros, then can adjust it myself and pass it to you).  Kind regards

    Hi Ken,

I am trying to use this tool to write a macro that pulls from one specific table into Excel repeatedly. Is there any way you can write/point me in the right direction so I can write such a macro? Thank you in advance.

    Best,
    Gaurav

    Hi Ken,

I'm trying to make the same application that you did. Can you brief me on how you used an email address and password for authentication and not a user token?

I'm currently trying to make it easy for the user by entering their Quickbase credentials for the API call, but I only know how to authenticate using user token

I'm guessing you are talking about Quickbase API calls and the billing of each call.

I use Quickbase on a usage plan, which means, each API call is considered to be equal to a user clicking a record.

Thanks, I received information from Quickbase that all readings or any API consumption from an external application (Excel) will deduct your annual API reading limit, after exceeding those limits the consumptions will be billed. I don't know if I'm clear in my comment.

For this reason I had to create a tool that works in the opposite direction, quickbse is the one who sends the info to my tool and thus does not affect my annually api_count.

    Thank you
