I would like to be able to arrange the pull down menu shown in the photo by Operator name instead of operator ID.

The relationship reference field is setup as "Operator ID - Operator Name-Employed?". Is there anyway I can trick Quickbase into arranging it "Operator Name - Operator ID - Employed?" without changing/creating a new field? Everything within my app is tied together with the "Operator ID - Operator Name - Employed?" relationship so changing or creating new would be a huge task...

Open to any suggestions! Thank you!

When you have a drop down list you are looking to "pick a record".

The low tech way of controlling which fields are presented to the user to help them Pick Record is to go to the Table Settings for the Operators and then the "Advanced" settings, and look there to set the Record Picker fields.  That will not break anything when you make changes, as you are just controlling which field are shown to the user to help them Pick.

That worked great! Any idea if I can make it so only Employed operators show?

Ah, so you want the High tech solution.  Don't worry, it's still simple.  Just make your perfect report for the drop down list with the sort and columns and filters (ie Employee is Active) you want. I suggest that you make it available to no one and call it "Drop down list of Active Employees"  Then on the FORM properties where that drop down field is on the FORM set the Form to use that report.

One minor comment on Mark's note about report availability, after I did this myself. The report must be Common, and not Personal, though you can check "Temporarily hide this report" and only make it available to admin role. When I made it Personal it was not one of the available options on the Form properties.

Quite correct. I suggest that the Report be hidden from all Roles (even Admin), but yes it still must be a common report and not a Personal one.
