# Calculate appointment date based on frequency

I have two existing fields, Appointment Frequency (which is a drop down featuring Monthly, Quarterly and Annually as options) and Last Appointment Date (which calculates off of the day they had their very last appointment with us). I need to create a date formula to calculate their "Suggested Next Appt. Date" based on these variables.

Every time I think I successfully have a calculation, nothing shows up in my field.

Try this:

case([Appointment Frequency],

"Monthly",adjustmonth([Last Appointment Date],1),

"Quarterly",adjustmonth([Last Appointment Date],3),

"Annually",adjustmonth([Last Appointment Date],12)

)

Formula syntax error

Please check the syntax of your entire formula. Possible culprits are a mismatched set of parentheses, missing quotes, or an extra bracket.

Case([Appointment Frequency],
"Monthly",AdjustMonth([Most Recent Activity Date],1),
"Quarterly",AdjustMonth([Most Recent Activity Date],3),
"Annually",AdjustMonth([Most Recent Activity Date],12),
)
