Can I get "Blank" value in Record Picker, to De-Select the choice while editing?

Have a form with both Lead Name and Client Name lookup fields, the idea is that users pick one or the other. My Client table is under 1000 so we get a drop down, along with a choice to choose blank. The Leads table, however, is upwards of 12,000 records, and the record picker, once used, won't allow the field to be blanked out.So if, for instance a user adds a record, slips up and chooses a lead, before deciding this was actually a client, they want to change to a client but they can't enter blank in the Lead Name field....

It's a bug, really and should be reported.

If you see a dashed line as a choice, it will allow you to deselect.

Or else a work around is to build a deselect URL formula field.

var text URLONE = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?act=api_editrecord&_fid_37=&rid=" & [Record ID#];
var text URLTWO= URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=dr&rid=" & [Record ID#];

$URLONE & "&rdr=" & URLEncode($URLTWO)

I'm clearing fid 37

Thanks, Mark.  Doubt if I can arm-twist my users into clicking on the formula field to clear the lookup, but this little formula will definitely come in handy at some point!

BTW, I do get the dashed line as a choice in the drop-down on the other field, just not in the Picker.
