Can I have a table to edit/override only one field/record in QB without overiding any other fields/records?

QB has location # 123

Status  choices are a drop down box:  completed, pending

I will have another choice added in the drop down box called completed V10

I want the loc# in table 2 to match loc# in QB and update the status field only to completed V10 . Any loc# in table 2 not found in QB, have a drop out report so I know which ones were not updated.

Can you explain your tables and their relationships?  Do you have a relationship set up between these tables?  If so, which is the One and which is the Many.

QB has location # and install status.  The install status is a drop down box of choices.  Table 1 is Location #'s with V10 software.  I need  sites in Table1 that are in QB to update the install status to the drop down box choice of : V10 software,   No other fields or records should be updated , overridden or no new records added.  Thank you

Dena - In reading over your notes, I'm still not quite understanding your situation, but it sort of sounds like you need to update the selection of your Status field based on some other action. If that's correct, what action are you wanting this to be dependent upon?
