My checkbox formula name is GoPass

If [Pass] = "blue", false, 'this is where I would like the user to make GoPass be true                                 or false'

So, if the multi-choice field [Pass] = "blue" then [GoPass] checkbox will be "false"

otherwise, allow user to make [GoPass] checkbox = "true" or "false" themselves.

try this

If([Pass] = "blue", false, [Checkbox override])

So if you make a new field called checkbox override, then the formula above will force the result to be false if [Pass] = "blue", else it will look to a new checkbox field called [Checkbox override] for its result.
