I have two tables prospects and title log. A field name in prospects is Appointment outcome. When the status of that field name is "loan closed", I would like to populate a few of the fields to the title log table.

Thanks for the input. First time to post in the community.  We are title loan brokers. I have one table for keeping records of prospective customers.  This is called prospects.  When a loan is closed, I would like key fields to populate into the second table named title log. This table is used to facilitate the processing of the title. It is a record of the title as it moves from one status to another. So here's what I am trying to accomplish.  Of the 40 fields in the prospect table, roughly 6 of those fields I want the information to populate to the title log table without the need to reenter the information.  Thanks for your help.

Ok, so the way to do this is to set up a relationship

http://www.quickbase.com/user-assistance/Default.html#about_relationships.html

Set it up so One Prospect has Many Title Logs

When you build the relationship initially I suggest that you make the first lookup field the one that best identifier of the Propect, typically their name, I suppose.

Then continue adding lookup fields from the Parent down to the child as required.
