Can I submit a single API_EditRecord request that effect multiple records? If I know the key field values and want to mass update them all with the same new field data, is that possible? I don't want to make thousands of calls, I want to make 1 call or maybe split it up into groups of a few hundred.

If these mass updates would never be done by different simultaneous users, then an approach would be to have a special single record with [Record ID#]= 1 in a special table and load the values to be mass updated in that record.

Then using a relationships back to all detail tables I would lookup those new values.

Then identify the records to be updated with a new checkbox field and checkbox the ones to be updated.  (or there are other also alternatives to have the records know if they are to be updated, for example a table of records to be updated which is an imported list of [Record ID#]'s to be updated with that field being the Key field and then a lookup down form there to the detail records sho they know they are to be updated.

The i would set up a table to table saved import to map the detail records into themselves with new values for each respective field.  ie import from detail table to detail table.

So then the API you would call would be

API_RunImport&ID=10
