Can QB set up the ability to search within certain mile radius of a zip code/address?

I am trying to set up a searchable database that can allow me to add thousands of contacts. I plan to upload my existing spreadsheets of contacts and want to be able to search within 100 miles of any area I enter. Example. I am looking for someone within 100 miles (or a list of all contacts that meet that requirement) of any entered location.

There are public databases available of US zip codes with their lat and longs, so you could bring that in as a table. it would be a large table, but still within QuickBase limitations.  Set the Key field to be the Zip code.

You can look up the Contact's lat and long based on a relationship.

Then you need to calculate the distance between an entered location and the contacts.
There is a discussion here

https://quickbase-community.intuit.com/questions/1133929-how-can-i-set-a-report-link-filter-based-on-zip-code-or-latitude-and-longitude-radius

and I have done exactly that setup you are looking for for another client.  The whole setup beyond what is already posed is probably too complicated for me to explain on this Forum, but if this is something that you really need done, then yes it can be done, and you can contact me off line.

Thanks for the quick response. I am working on presenting QuickBase as solution for one of my business owners so if he selects it as the solution we would need to set up the ability to search a radius of a zip code. Good to know it is doable and an option.

See this application which locates the nearest White Castle dining establishment based on your latitude and longitude

It can be easily adapted to use an entered zip code. Feel free to contact me off-world if you need assistance with implementing this feature.
