change Search widget to search on a "is equal to" basis, instead of a "contains" basis?

I have a ticket system and i have a formula field that pulls the record ID and adds a few extra characters to it (IE record ID:1234 is now Ticket ID MM-07-08-15-1234). I like to see the date in the ticket ID for other purposes.

I have a search widget on the dashboard and i have it set to search the record id only, because that is the only important identifying factor. But when i search for ticket 335 i get two results for ticket 355 and ticket 1335. This will only get worse in the future because i will eventually start to see tickets 335,1335,2335,3335,4335 etc...I want my search widget to search on an exact match basis. Not a contains basis. It this possible? Is there a setting i am missing?

Thanks!

You will need to make a report with an <ask the user> filter on [Record ID#]  equals and put a button on the Dashboard.

Really? so they will have to go to the report and then search? Because i imagine you cant embed that report into the dashboard with an <ash the user> tag.
