I'm monitoring a list of properties for security violations.  We have a 'monitorings' table where we record each violation with date.  I want to include the date of the most recent violation in the 'Properties' table.  I have been playing with automations, but cannot figure this out at all.

Each share the 'property id', but obviously there's many entries in monitorings for each (unique) property.

Any suggestions?  I'm not sure where to start, how to think about it in quickbase.

Basically, if a record is modifed/add/deleted in Monitorings, see if the date is newer than date of last violation in Properties table and if it is, update the date in Properties for last violation.

How do I actually do that in Quickbase?

Hopefully you have a relationship where One Property has Many Monitorings.

Just go into that Relationship and on the left side there will be a button to set up a summary field.  Make it the Maximum of the Date, possibly subject to the filter that the [Type] was "Violation".
