In actions you can copy old value to a field and copy the "new" value to a field.  I don't see these options when adding actions to an automation.  Is this going to be available soon in automation?

As a secondary concern on Automations; you cannot select a [Date] field in the criteria to ensure that an automation triggers or does not trigger if a Date Field is or is not populated; like we can with other criteria-based filters (such as QB Actions, Webhooks and email notifications)

    Johnny,

Currently we don't have this capability but are investigating how we might implement it. Since we don't know how it will be done, we don't have a timeline yet.

In the meantime, I would suggest that you add a suggestion">https://quickbase.uservoice.com/forums/111823-quick-base-product-feedback?category_id=179497">suggestion to UserVoice and vote on it. I do monitor the Workflow Automation category and just closed a number of issue over there :)

How to trigger an Automation if a Date field is/is not populated:  Create a Formula-Date field called Null Date and leave the formula blank.  In the Additoinal Criteria section of the Automation, compare the Date field you want to evaluate to the value in the field [NullDate].
