Displaying Linked Exchange Body Fields

  • 1.  Displaying Linked Exchange Body Fields

    Hello All,

    I have a synced exchange table that pulls email records into a table. The purpose of this linked table will be to display email history relating to a specific candidate.

    The exchange fields it pulls in for the email body are [RawBody] and [Body]. [RawBody] is pure HTML and [Body] is text.

    The problem I am running into is if there is an email chain, these body fields contain all the reply history. Ideally I'd like to remove the reply history but can't seem to create a formula in Quickbase that can parse either Body field. I would think it would be easiest to work with the [RawBody] field.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Example of an Email [RawBody] field from gmail (with the message I want displayed in bold):

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"><div dir="ltr">Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you!<div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr">On Tue, Oct 23, 2018 at 9:52 AM email @ <a href="http://myCompany.com" target="_blank">MyCompany.com</a> (via Quick Base) &lt;<a href="mailto:notify@quickbase.com" target="_blank">notify@quickbase.com</a>&gt; wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><u></u>

    <div>
    <table border="0"><tbody><tr><td style="font-family:Helvetica Neue,Helvetica,Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">

    Hello,<br>
    <br>
    This was the original message.<br>
    <br>
    Thank you again for contacting us. We appreciate your time.<br>
    <br>
    Sincerely,<br>

    </td></tr></tbody></table>
    </div>
    </blockquote></div></div></div>
