I have a multiple line text field entitled "hobbies 1" which lists dozens of various hobbies. i want to use this same list 2 more times in fields called "hobbies 2" and "hobbies 3". In fields 2 & 3, I've chosen that the input type is from another field, and I select the app and the necessary "hobbies 1" field, but nothing appears in the hobbies 2 field. I'm not sure if I am missing something.

I just want to be able to use the list items in hobbies 1 in more than one location.

The best technique in this instance, is to create a table where you make your text-multiple-choice field the Key field of the table.  This prevents duplication of entries, and makes your relationship connections easier.

Then once you have created your table, and populated with each item in your multiple choice list (a fast way to do this is to copy your multiple choice list to Excel and then copy that list and import it to the table), you then need to build relationships from the new table to whichever tables where you want this value to be a choice.  If you need multiple choices in the same table; build multiple relationships and label them appropriately (i.e. Related Choice 1] and [Related Choice 2] etc.  To different tables, your relationships will simply be [Related Choice] or simply [Choice] since the Key field of that table will be the list of choices you want.

The added advantage with this, is that when building reports, your Filters will then give you the "drop down" choices when the User has to make a selection.
