Anyway to update a record's status in the dashboard? I want to be able to scan in a record ID into a field and clicking a button/hitting enter to change the record's status?

... so I heard your bump.  Good to be able to meet you at EMPOWER.

If it wuz me, I think that I would set up a set up a button on the dashboard just to display a record in edit mode.  The record would be a single record in a dedicated table called update Status by scan.  The user would enter the record ID by data entry or a "wedge scanner" or a bluetooth scanner and Save.  Then click a button to run an API formula button to edit the record and refresh the screen.  i would make this record be a child of the record being updated to pull back the status so the users gets feedback that the update did happen.

After basking in that success for a bit i would then enroll in early access for Webhooks and mess around with that to set up a form rule to change a toggle field when the record is saved.  That toggle field would then trigger the webhook.  The webhook would fire the api formula button so that the user did not have to both save and press a button to run the edit.  They would just save.  (but there may be a way to avoid the save too, I have a question out to another QuickBase Solutions Provider about that)

There is also a way to down load a $20 app onto your phone and just scan a bar code and have it do the edit as soon as the bar code is acquired without even being in edit mode.
