Escaping Square Brackets

I deal with a single product and a lot of clients, so I've started to put the client name in any emails I send in Outlook (instead of just a million emails with the subject "Widget")

I wanted to replicate that same thing in QuickBase for a note notification... but if I set the subject of the notification as:

[[Project Name]] [Sent By] added a note

the duplicate square brackets around the project name get lost. I tried to \escape, "quote", and 'single quote' the characters with no luck (actually, in all of those cases, saving the notification kicked me out of QB and forced me to login again).

So, long story short -- how do I escape square brackets?!

I'm not understanding. Why are you putting in the double quotes?  Can't you just let QuickBase insert the selected fields from the drop down list?

I want the Email Subject to be, literally, "[Project Name] User, Name added a note"

I suggest making a formula field called Notification Subject Line

"[" & [Project Name] & "] " & [Sent By] & " added a note"
